The Ventry Area

Ventry House is the perfect spot from which to explore the Dingle Peninsula. From the house it’s just a few minutes walk to Ventry village and Ventry Beach. Directly across the road is the legendary Paidi O’Sé pub. Paidi was a famous Gaelic footballer who played for Kerry and later managed the team. The lively pub is a very handy place to take evening meals.

The house is also on the popular Slea Head Drive. This drive will take you along the rugged wild Atlantic Way, passing beehive huts, glorious beaches and the location for the Star Wars film.

It’s a 15 minute drive into the town of Dingle, which provides ample opportunity for sampling traditional Irish music, shopping for books, art, crafts, or dining out. There are some fantastic Harry Clarke windows to be seen in the monastery in heart of the town.

The magnificent Conor Pass will take you up to the crest of a glacial valley. Often cloaked in mist and cloud, but always spectacular.
